Tampa, Florida Weight w/ Honda 1680 pounds
The data acquisition problem ended up being a Stack problem and had to send the unit to UK for repair. That being said, the Stack unit is somewhat stand alone. I do not know if the speedo works because I was never in that "window" while running the car. However, everything else works so I would be surprised if the speedo did not work. For your information, Lotus Motorsports tells me that with the Honda installation I might want to increase the rear springs from 750 lbs to 850 lbs. However, if I go larger then the 700 lbs, fronts springs will have to be increased also. Furthermore, the stock oil pump in the Honda might have a pressure drop problem if you use a large oil cooler like we are. When the VTEC kicks-in the VTEC requires an additional 1 quart of oil to work properly. If the motor sees too much pressure drop it will not allow the final stage of the VTEC to work. So --- we are currently exploring taking the oil cooler out of the loop and plumbing it directly to the oil pan and utilize an electric Mocal pump.

"I own one of the first S2 Elises you built back in 2003 with an Acura B18c Type
R conversion. Fantastic job on the build btw – my car has over 100,000 miles
and has treated me well. While in the process of fixing a squeaking alternator
belt recently, I discovered that the alternator tension bracket had broken. The
bracket has “Sun Speed” stamped on it and appears to be a custom billet piece.
I have yet to locate a stock replacement part, mostly because I think there is a
reason you created the custom bracket. Do you have these in stock and can I
purchase one from you?
Thanks in advance for your
help!"
Best,
Renn"
