Continuing our 20 + years tradition of US importation and Certification of niche vehicles, Sun International  is developing an independent importation and Certification program for the Lotus Elise.
Lotus U. K. and Lotus USA are not involved in this program and have no obligation or responsibility for the importation, Certification, warranty or after sales support. The original manufacturer, Lotus, has not intended this vehicle for the US.
Only Sun International has responsibility for vehicles which it Certifies to US standards.

The Bad News . . .

Special vehicles, such as the Elise by sun International, that are small volume, high performance, high visibility, but lacking a factory network of spare parts and service are not for everyone.
Life in the US has become rather sanitized and too civilized. If you're looking for a special car - a driver's car, a car that your neighbor doesn't have, a car with entertainment value for all of your senses that also has easy low cost insurance, nearby service / spare parts, bank financing and warranties for everything, then this car is - NOT FOR YOU.
Nothing about these cars is "mainstream." These are "irresistibly cool cars" that need imaginative solutions and realistic owners!

Then again, the Good News . . .

The Elise by Sun International is an outstanding car. Available in left hand drive (lhd).
Availability has been a problem during the summer, but we expect this should improve from now on. Spare parts and technical assistance in english are easily available.
And we expect to have exhaust emission approval for higher output kits.
