Sun International became the exclusive importer of the Renault R5 Turbo
by having accomplished the EPA engine family certification and DOT approval. No other
company accomplished these certifications. Ten years later, Sun International is the only
company to have accomplished EPA, CARB and DOT certification of the Ford Escort RS
Cosworth
