For Your Information:

  1. 1 R5 Turbo - "Version T300". This was a Maxi 5 wanna be, made by Export Sales / Roy Berry in Germany and marketed here by Export Sales / Peter Schoemer, Florida. There is an English language book on the R5 Turbo that erroneously credits Sun International with having imported these cars. Sun International was never involved in importing or selling these versions. These cars have terrible turbo lag, don't seem to have any internal engine modifications that would help performance and durability. They were claimed to have 300 hp. Out personal opinion is that they were intended to copy the Maxi 5 solution. The workmanship is terrible. Our personal opinion is that they were a fraud. Fake. If anyone has verifiable explanations for these cars or experience with them we would like to post it on this site.
Please continue to check the Sun Site for current information.
