Our BMW M1 Procar was provided new by BMW Motorsport, Munich in 1979 for racing. The M1 Procar model was for sale to other race teams but, before the racing could take place the rules changed. Subsequently, the M1 Procar became a unique and successful companion race series for F1. We made only one day of testing at Riverside International Raceway for a few laps. Because the racing rules changed, no racing or modification were made to our car. And no further driving. It is in the same condition as it was when received new, with only "delivery" miles / time. From 1979 until now there's never been any driving other than regular engine running, fluids changed and simple driving on the local back roads during the regular service and maintenance program. Our Procar is the only one still in "new" completely original condition. It has never been publicly offered for sale.
In the meantime we made some factory recommended upgrades with BMW Motorsport factory provided pieces.
